i just finished editing my "advertisement" assignment part for the portfolio:

one of our portfolio assignments include making a "drop & pop" catalog shot. you have to photograph an object in the commercial studio, use photoshop to isolate the product, then add fake shadows and put it with a background. i wanted to photograph shoes that i know people will never buy. i wanted to challenge myself and try to make it look better with the technique.

i tried to do a modern 80's theme. it took a while, but i finally finished it:

i've always hated the traditional look of family portraits, so for my "family portrait" assignment, i kind of took it to another direction:
